The French Minister for International Cooperation Jean Marie Boquel yesterday said that France is ready to assist Egypt in the production of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes, he told reporters at the conclusion of a visit that lasted four days to Egypt. The French minister said that France supports Egypt in its decision to enter peaceful nuclear energy field. Egypt pledged to respect the NPT in an exemplary manner, transparent and clear.
Although China and Russia already offered to cooperate with Egypt in the construction of nuclear reactors, he stressed that France is among the best in terms of quality, safety and innovation to provide nuclear expertise to Egypt.
