Al rai , al Ghad: In Jordan, King Abdallah II stressed the importance of accelerating the implementation of nuclear energy. He announced this during a meeting yesterday of the Higher Committee for the strategy of nuclear energyand stressed the importance of providing alternative sources of energy and developing local and renewable sources of energy to reduce dependence on imports. The meeting was attended by Prime Minister, Chairman of the Committee, Dr. Marouf al-Bakhit, Dr Bassem Awadallah, Vice Chairman of the Committee and Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr Khalid Touqan. The target would be transforming into an exporter of energy.
